As a learning consultant I have been trained to administer and interpret standardized assessments that highlight a child's academic strengths and weaknesses. With this information, individualized instruction can be designed to address the child's deficits. Standardized assessments can also assist parents with determining if their current therapy treatments are working and if their child's current educational program is effective in addressing their needs.
In addition to administering assessments, a learning consultant can also provide a variety of practical learning strategies and resources that can be used both inside and outside of the classroom to maximize the effectiveness of their child's current educational program.
