About Me
"Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, you can achieve." ~ Mary Kay Ash
As a special educator for more than 10 years I have serviced a variety of students with learning disabilities. I started as a special education teacher in 2004 in a small classroom of a center school for the disabled in Newark, NJ. As a new teacher I had to learn how to design my instruction for a classroom of students with a variety of disabilities such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, cognitive disabilities, and severe medical issues. It wasn't easy, but I found that there was a way to reach each and every student. I eventually went on to teach special education in a regular high school and middle school in south jersey. There I learned how to modify instruction in a way that gave disabled students access to the general education curriculum. It was an amazing journey and one that led me to become a learning consultant.
